All dates are in UK format (dd/mm/yy). Real episode titles are given where known; I think some of the later ones were listed by the ABC during their last transmission for the Melbourne "Age" Green Guide TV supplement... someday I'll get around to looking up the back-issues in the library. - (C) BBC - the copyright date on the credits. Before 1972 colour BBC programmes did not have a copyright on them but merely said "BBC Colour". - THE MISSING EPISODES? The one where Graeme decides to marry his computer; and/or the episode with the blue tracksuits bits seen in various title sequences (Tim pulls a rope and a bell falls on him; Graeme drops a medicine ball onto Tim and it goes straight through him), and another bit where Tim is in a football hat and scarf dancing around and a bell falls on him. Any info on these ones? Many Australians commented that when the "Nice Person Of The Year" episode was shown that they had never seen it before; has anyone seen it before? And the "Bounce for Charity" made a welcome return after having not been seen for many many years. One of my friends insists he's seen a B&W pilot, but I have found no mention of it anywhere. - THE GIANT KITTEN EPISODE This episode was re-made with more film sequences for the Montreux Light Entertainment Festival, where it won the Silver Rose. The re-made version was supplied to both Ten and the ABC. Anyone seen the original anywhere lately? (The original version should not have a copyright date on it.) - ORIGINAL BBC BROADCASTS: Dates where known are given. The series was weekly. "Royal Command" should have been third in series 7 but was delayed from broadcast by the BBC hierarchy, a repeat being substituted. Known transmission times- Series 1-2 (varied between 9:30pm and 10:30pm), Series 3-4 (mostly around 8:15pm, some as early as 6:45pm !!), Series 5-7 (9pm, BBC-2), Series 8 (8:10pm, BBC-2) - SPECIAL LENGTH EPISODES (not often shown!): - "The Goodies And The Beanstalk", BBC trans 24/12/73 (43 minutes) (available on BBC Video / distributed in Australia by Polygram; Rated G, VHS: BBC70082, A$29.95, Mono, listed as 44 minutes?!?) - "The Goodies Rule - OK" BBC trans 21/12/75 (48 minutes) - THE BOOKS - "The Goodies File" (Weidenfeld & Nicholson, 1974) - "The Goodies Book of Criminal Records" (Sphere Books, 1976) - "The Making of the Goodies' Disaster Movie" (?) - RECORDS - "The World of the Goodies" (Decca) (There are others; any details anyone?) - ON VIDEO - "The Goodies And The Beanstalk" (see above) - 3 episodes from the '81 LWT series seen on rental in Sydney... any details? - 1991 CHANNEL TEN BROADCAST 5pm weekdays. Ten cut episodes down to a length of between 22'30" and 23'30", generally (but not always) cutting a scene near the start but not the first scene. The plots suffered greatly from this; for instance in the Concrete Block episode no explanation was made of why the Goodies were so concerned about work stopping on the Brighton to Berkenhead freeway, the scene explaining this having been cut (as well as most of the brilliantly funny political discussion/argument). Three commercial breaks were inserted in each episode. There was no episode broadcast on 17/1/91 due to blanket CNN Gulf War coverage... I wonder if they simply skipped one, or if they pushed their schedule back...? Well, that's about it I s'pose. Now for the plea... if anyone has any additional, preferably CONFIRMED information, please mail me, and I will post an updated version.
